Print & Pattern {lesenswert}

Als ich neulich von diesem Buch hier, bei Farbenmix las, in dem das schöne Stöffchen von Frau Paulapü gezeigt wird, musste ich schmunzeln, denn nur eine Stunde vorher hatte ich mir dieses Buch hier bestellt: Print & Pattern by Bowie Style. Bowie Style gibt es gar nicht. Es ist das Pseudonym der Graphikdesignerin namens Marie Perkins. Sie sammelt auf ihrem Blog wunderbare Stoffe, Designs und Graphiken und hat die schönsten in diesem Buch hier versammelt.

The other day, I read about this book at Farbenmix', where you can also find the beautiful fabric of Mrs Paulapü. I had to smile, because only an hour before, I had ordered this book here: Print & Pattern by Bowie Style. Bowie Style doesn't exist. It is the pseudonym of the graphic designer Marie Perkins. On her blog, she collects wonderful fabrics, designs and graphics and has gathered them in this wonderful book!

 Ich bin keine Graphikdesignerin (hoffe aber, dass ich im nächsten Leben eine Ausbildung in dieser Richtung absolvieren werde) schaue mir aber Stoffe, Illustrationen, graphische Bilder und Muster gerne an. Lasse mich dadurch inspirieren und sage einfach nur "oh!" und "ah!".

I'm not a graphic designer (just hoping that I will complete a training in my second life), but I really like to look fabrics, illustrations, graphic images and patterns. They are inspiring me and let me just say "oh!" and "ah!".

Was mir an dem Buch besondergut gefällt: zu jedem Designer gibt es ein paar persönliche Sätze und Infos, wie z.B. deren Website. 

What I really like about the book: for every designer there a few personal records and information, such as their websites!


Die großartige Orla Kiely mag ich besonders gern! Wie schön, dass ich jetzt weiss, dass es einen Orla Kiley Flagship Store in London gibt! Wie blöd, dass ich das vor zwei Jahren noch nicht wusste! ;-)

I especially like the great Orla Kiely! How nice, now I know, that there is an Orla Kiely flagship store in London! How stupid that I didn't know that two years ago! ;-)
